I am sorry but BBC Sherlock 2.2 did pretty much nothing for me basically due to being full to the brim of science fiction.  Two quick examples: the jelly fish gene does not make an animal glow in the dark but under black light (and it is 1990s tech anyway). And you aren't going to find a poison in your sugar using a fecking microscope. Twaddle, and it would be just as easy to get it right. They just didn't bother.
