Elementary

It seems that now CBS is going to have a go at a modern Sherlock Holmes. They are casting Jonny Lee Miller as the lead in the new pilot for proposed series called "Elementary".

No, their lawyers say, they are totally not copying the BBC's "Sherlock".

Uh-huh.

I can't wait to see the pilot. Big fan of SH in terms of fiction. I don't know how they could present SH in an authentic way.

This concept would be an intriguing twist on the Sherlock Holmes stories. The key would be keeping Holmes in character and not straying from the original premise of the stories.

I so love the BBCs version Sherlock and the way they somehow mix the feeling of yester-year with today's technology. It will be interesting to see how CBS spins this.

It'd be a pure delight to see the rivalry between Doherty and BBC's Gatiss/Moffat duo~ cx

Like the BBC was "totally not copying" Arthur Conan Doyle? ;) Got no problems with another take. Let's see it!
